Caroline Chaspoul and Eduardo Henriquez a.k.a Betapictoris are french/chilean music artists based in Paris, with a background in indie rock, experimental and electronic music.
They are also know as Nova Materia and Panico.
In 2009 they founded Betapictoris, a project focussed on music for films, art and multimedia. They began their film scoring career with the experimental documentary from James Schneider "The band that found the sound beneath" followed by Cristian Jimenez "Bonsai"(Cannes - Un certain regard, 2011), and have since moved on to score various features including Marialy Rivas "Young and Wild" (Sundance, 2012 -World Cinema Screenwriting Award), Alicia Scherson's "Il Futuro" (Sundance, Rotterdam IFF, best music winning award at Victoria TX Independent film festival) and Hiner Saleem's “My sweet Pepperland”(Cannes – Un certain regard, 2013).
They have also scored music for fashion and art movies as John Galliano, Fondation Galleries Lafayette, Isabelle Marant and the exiting TV show "Bichos Raros" from director Cristian Jimenez.
